This chapter was based on:
Miao, X., Magnier, L., Mugge, R. (2023). Developing Reusable Packaging for FMCGs: Consumers’ Perceptions of Benefits and Risks of Refillable and Returnable Packaging Systems. In: Fukushige, S., Kobayashi, H., Yamasue, E., Hara, K. (eds) EcoDesign for Sustainable Products, Services and Social Systems I. Springer, Singapore. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-99-3818-6_2

*** Introductory information
Chapter 2 investigates two distinct RPS models—refillable and returnable packaging systems—designed for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs), compared to single-use packaging. Specifically, it explores consumers’ perceptions of three benefits and three risks, along with their purchase intentions regarding RPSs.

*** Methodological information
Chapter 2 is based on a quantitative experimental study, employing an online survey developed in Qualtrics and distributed via the Dutch consumer panel (Product Evaluation Laboratory, PEL).

*** Description of the data in the dataset
The dataset includes six videos used as stimuli, a Qualtrics survey file, and a cleaned SPSS dataset used for quantitative analysis.
